Chain lengths

Chain length is measured end to end with the clasp closed, and it decides where the necklace settles on you.

14" Choker — Sits close around the base of the neck. Wear it on its own, with an open or scooped neckline.

16" Collarbone — Rests on the collarbone itself. The shortest length that still layers, and an easy first necklace.

18" Just below the collarbone — Falls an inch or two lower and suits most necklines. The length most pendants are made for.

20" Neckline — Sits at the top of a shirt or a jumper. Long enough to read clearly over knitwear.

22" Mid-chest — Reaches the middle of the chest. Wear it long, or double a fine chain for a two-strand look.

Measure a chain you already wear rather than your neck, and add an inch or two if you plan to layer.
